Global reinsurer Hannover Re has announced the promotions of Soeren Kruse, Niall Mulvey, and Raphael Rimelin within its Life & Health (L&H) division, led by Claude Chèvre and Brona Magee.
Kruse has been named Head of L&H, Southern & Eastern Asia. He has been with Hannover Re for 11 years, holding various leadership roles, including Head of Business Development and General Manager. Most recently, he served as CEO of the Malaysian Branch since May 2024.
Kruse commented, “Southern & Eastern Asia’s incredible diversity and growth potential inspire me every day. I’m humbled by the opportunity to lead and learn alongside our talented teams and look forward to supporting our clients’ growth ambitions.”
Mulvey has been promoted to Head of L&H, Greater China. Previously, he was Principal Business Lead, L&H Asia. Before that, he spent 14 years at Hannover Re (Ireland) DAC, where he most recently served as Head of Actuarial Function, Life & Health.
Mulvey stated, “I am delighted to work together with the truly exciting Greater China teams and am really looking forward to partnering with the diverse range of local clients in building solutions and creating value.”
Rimelin has been appointed Head of L&H, France & MENA. He has been with Hannover Re for nearly 25 years, most recently as General Manager of the Paris Branch. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Cigna, MetLife, and MMA Insurance.
Rimelin added, “Stepping into my new role is both an honour and a privilege. I am grateful for the company’s trust and excited to drive our success forward alongside our exceptional team – thank you for your continued engagement and dedication.”
