Bermuda domiciled re/insurer Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has appointed Christian Dunleavy as a Director and Michael Lagler as a Non-Executive Director to its Board, effective March 17th, 2025.
Currently, Dunleavy is Group President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aspen Bermuda Limited, responsible for the group’s underwriting strategy, claims and business development.
He has over 25 years of industry experience, and joined Aspen in 2015 as Global Head of Property Cat Reinsurance, before being promoted to Group Chief Underwriting Officer in 2022.
Lagler serves as a Private Equity Associate for Apollo Global Management, based in London. In the role, he focuses on private equity investments in insurance and financial services.
Prior to this, he was a member of the investment banking team in the financial institutions group and subsequently the mergers and acquisitions group at Perella Weinberg Partners.
Mark Cloutier, Group CEO and Chairman, commented on the appointments, “I am pleased to welcome Christian and Michael to the Board of Aspen. Christian joining the Board follows his appointment as Group President last year, while Michael will bring highly relevant financial services, insurance and capital markets experience.”
