AXA XL, the property and casualty (P&C) and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has promoted Greg Chambers and Caitlin Alpern within its Americas Cyber Insurance team.
Chambers, who has 22 years of experience and has been with AXA XL for nearly a decade as both an underwriter and broker, has been appointed Head of Complex Accounts, tasked with overseeing a portfolio of complex cyber risks.
He will also be in charge of addressing insurance coverage for clients facing heightened cybersecurity risks stemming from large-scale operations, industry-specific vulnerabilities, diverse digital assets, stringent regulatory compliance, intricate third-party relationships, sophisticated threats, and high volumes of sensitive transactions.
Chambers will act as the primary referral point during the underwriting process for such accounts.
Additionally, Senior Underwriter, Caitlin Alpern, has been promoted to Team Lead within the Large & Complex segment of the Cyber & Technology business in the US.
She will be responsible for managing high-profile accounts across the eastern US and supporting broader portfolio management activities.
Alpern will represent AXA XL at major events and foster strong relationships with key brokers and partners. She has shown exceptional leadership and commitment since joining AXA XL in 2021, making significant contributions to her team’s success, AXA XL noted.
Michelle Chia, Head of Cyber & Technology at AXA XL, commented: “Both Greg and Caitlin exemplify the expertise and dedication we value in our team. Their specialized expertise enables us to effectively address the unique cybersecurity risks and challenges faced by many of our clients, ensuring we provide tailored solutions that meet their specific needs in an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape.”
