Global insurance and reinsurance broker Howden has appointed Brigitte Trafford to the newly created role of Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, effective immediately.
In the role, Trafford will report directly to David Howden, the Chief Executive Officer, and join the Global Leadership Team.
She will lead the broker’s brand and marketing, communications, PR, public affairs, events, research, and social impact teams to develop a global strategy that supports business growth.
Most recently, Trafford was a senior advisor to Lansons, the corporate reputation consultancy. She has held several leadership roles in corporate affairs and marketing, serving on the executive committees of LSEG, Virgin Media, ICAP, ITV plc and Dow Jones & Company throughout her career.
Howden commented on her appointment, “How we show up as a global company will be an absolutely critical part of the next phase of our growth journey. Yesterday, Howden launched Howden Auto Tracker, a new automated follow-form facility that combines tracker capacity and connected algorithmic capacity, giving brokers direct access to both from the same data source.
