Surendra Singupalli has joined Munich Re India as Head of Property Treaty Underwriting, bringing around 16 years of industry experience to the role.
Singupalli has been with the reinsurer since 2016, having joined Munich Re Singapore as Senior Property Treaty Underwriter & Nat Cat Expert.
The executive was then appointed Head of Treaty Underwriting (Southeast Asia) and Head of Property Underwriting (Southeast Asia) three years after that, before being named Head of Property Treaty Underwriting for the reinsurer’s India team.
Prior to Munich Re, Singupalli served at Swiss Re for seven years, having joined the Natural Hazards Earthquake team in Bangalore before becoming a Property Treaty Underwriter for Swiss Re Singapore.
Commenting on the new appointment, Singupalli said: “I’m grateful for the support and experiences that have led to this next step in my reinsurance journey. Looking forward to new challenges, growth, and collaboration in this next chapter.”
